The rowing season is now in full swing, and we've been loving getting out on
the water regularly from Port Isaac. Over the past few weeks, club members
have represented Port Isaac Rowing Club at a number of fantastic events,
including Zennor Regatta, Falmouth Regatta and Shanty Festival, Doom Bar
Racing at Padstow, the George Moth Race at Newquay, and Rock Regatta at
Daymer. It's been a busy and enjoyable start to the season, with great fun,
and lots of miles rowed.

Our focus now turns to one of the highlights of the year – our own Regatta at
Port Gaverne on Sunday 12th July. We'd love to see as many locals and
visitors as possible come along and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic day
on and off the water.

Breakfast baps will be available from 9am, followed by a delicious selection of
lunches, homemade cakes, refreshments, teas and coffees throughout the
day. Racing starts at 12pm, with local Cornish gig clubs and crews from Bristol
joining us for an exciting afternoon of racing in our spectacular bay!
The regatta is always a wonderful community event, showcasing the spirit of
gig rowing and bringing together clubs, families and spectators from across
the region. So, please come and support the club. We will also be collecting
for The Grand Appeal - the charity we are supporting this year! It's such a
GRAND day out by the sea, there's something for everyone!
Fancy giving gig rowing a go?
We'd love to hear from you. Through our Ready Steady Go programme, we
offer three trial rows to help new members get started safely and confidently.
It's a fantastic way to meet new people, enjoy time on the water, and get
involved in a brilliant local sport.
To find out more, get in touch via our website
or follow us on social media.
We look forward to seeing you at Port Gaverne on 12th July!
